Sometimes a good quotation can really make your day, or inspire you to move ahead. For instance, one of my favourite quotes is:
I would never join a club that would have me as a member.
Oscar Wilde.
What are some quotations that you find inspiring, amusing, or otherwise worthy of sharing?

One of my favorite quotes is from Mark Twain who wrote Tom Sawyer and other wonderfully fun stories.
“I have never let my schooling interfere with my education.”
What do you think about this quote?

My favourite quote would be, “You’ll never take me alive!”
Author unknown. Does anyone know?

Regarding that Tom Sawyer quote - isn’t education and schooling the same thing?

Bhargavi — education is what you learn, and schooling is when someone teaches you. Education is what you get out of life, what you learn from life experience.

my favorite quote is:
skinned knees are easier to heal than broken hearts

I posted a quote earlier, which didn’t appear so if it repeats then forgive me please! “We all have something we do our best, a little bit better than the rest.” I really like this quote, how about you?
“The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.”
This quote is attributed to none other than Albert Einstein! Makes one question the idea of “originality” doesn’t it?
I love the skinned knees quote…I wonder how students would compare “cruel words”…are they akin to skinned knees or broken hearts?
Mr. Romary is going to get me for being off topic, isn’t he?

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
“Get yourself out of the dark. It maybe too bright at first but you’ll get used to it.”
“Living on Earth is expensive but it does include a free trip around the sun every year.”

Regarding this quote: “You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.”
Is it really true that if you want to know the meaning of life you are not living life? Does that mean I should stop looking for the meaning of life?

What if your neighbor, is a dirty, obnoxious, drunk guy that likes to beat up his dog?
mr.romary wrote @ November 19th, 2006 at 10:34 am
Excellent question — what if your neighbour is obnoxious, what would you do?

“be nice to nerds, you’ll probably end up working for one”
i think this was quoted by Bill Gates

Well the “love your neighbor like yourself”, you must realize that this is just a quote that comes from the Golden Rule, how you should treat others the way you want to be treated.
