Just some random thoughts as I came home from school…
Does anyone here believe that we are the only ones here in the universe? Don’t you think that there could be aliens?

The big picture makes my brain hurt. So please post your opinion so I know that I’m not the only one with these random thoughts…

I am a bit confused.

Does anyone know exactly how many percent of the final grade is the common assessment?

Some say 20% and some say 15%.

I just wanted to share my feelings about this blog site. I really like the idea of having a personal classroom blog, which allows us to discuss and question. This blog in a way is also fun.

Hello anonymous:

20% - that’s the weighting we’ve given to this assessment.

Curious—judging that there are many galaxies in the universe, there is bound to be aliens on planets trillions of light years away. I agree with I sometimes think “is there life somewhere else in the Universe?” please leave an opinoin.

I really agree with anonymous that this blog is very cool and great! It is fun and also very educational at the same time.

You know how there are still people who live in the forest and they don’t wear modern day clothing…maybe only leaves or something?

Well have you ever realized that if none of us wore clothes…it would just be normal!
I just find that very bizarre and very true!!

curious / replier - i agree very much with replier. Yes, I too believe that somewhere there has ought to be life! This has been an ongoing question for many years, which even scientists haven’t been able to answer! But I am glad we have a discussion going!

Georgie, Mimi and I have a theory that is kind of strange, but cool in the fact that there’s no way to prove or disprove it. We think that people may see a color and both think, “BLUE!”, but in reality the other person’s idea of blue could be your idea of purple. Has anybody else evr thought of this before?

   Geng wrote @ November 15th, 2006 at 8:05 pm

Taylor’s comment is also very funny, because when I think something is purple, it is purple. When I think the same shade of color is blue, it is blue. So that’s pretty strange! Is that what your theory meant, Taylor?

I’ve thought of this since the tsunami struck Southeast Asia:

Doesn’t it seem that there are more disasters, both natural and human-made, in the world right now? It seems that there are so many accidents and catastrophes everyday.

Another thing: Is one of the planes that hit the World Trade Center called ‘Q33NY’?

This is because if you put Q33NY into Microsoft Word, and then change the font size to 44, and change the font to Wingdings, you will see something that is very freaky and scary. Try it!

Sometimes I wonder what the meaning of life is. Am I really on Earth? Am I really a human being? Am I really typing on this keyboard right now? Woaaww…I am very inquisitive about finding an answer to this question. However a good friend of mine said you can only find the aswer in one place- inside yourself.

a guy from the crowd wrote @ November 15th, 2006 at 8:25 pm

Geng, that is so cool

However, I didn’t know the Jews had anything to do with 9/11. Wasn’t Bin Laden from like, Pakistan or something?

   Anonymous wrote @ November 15th, 2006 at 8:45 pm

Geng, I looked up about your questions concerning ‘Q33NY’. Here is a website about it:

anonymous, the website you gave does not work. I tried it but it did not work. what do you need to do to make the website work?

   eric s. wrote @ November 16th, 2006 at 3:12 pm

did you know that half the population of the world is in poverty. that is really sad. I hope there are people out there in this world who are trying to stop this.

   Nick wrote @ November 16th, 2006 at 5:04 pm

I just had this thought…

What do you call a fly without wings? Would it be a walk?

I think the meaning of life is love for one another.

The website is:

If it didn’t work, just look up Q33NY + September 11 in Google.

Aww…that’s so sweet anonymous.

“the meaning of life is love for one another.”

Debra McKeown wrote @ November 17th, 2006 at 1:37 pm

Geng,

Your facts are incorect regarding the flight number. The flight numbers were AA11 and the other UA175 and the plane registrations were N334AA and N612UA respectively. This is a hoax and you can read more about it on http://www.hoax-slayer.com.

This is an example of how we need to be more informed consumers of media and information…question your sources! (even your teachers)

   Geng wrote @ November 17th, 2006 at 4:21 pm

Thank you Ms. Mckeown. At first, I thought it was real, but then I watched the movie United 9/11 (very good movie- i recommend it), and I questioned the ‘hoax,’ which is why I asked if Q33NY was really the flight number. Thank you for answering my question.

i like music.

does anyone else like music?

the guy from crowd wrote @ November 22nd, 2006 at 7:38 pm

Well, while reading “Waiting for the Rain” today, I thought about this question.

What if the whites were slaves, and the blacks are the masters? Would the world be different?

I guess technically, everything would be the same, except that instead of blacks being discriminated, it would be the white people. What do you guys think?

Music Activist wrote @ November 22nd, 2006 at 7:54 pm

Yeah, I like music too. In fact, it is the universal language i think, because you do not need to learn any words to know what feelings the person is trying to give. (An example–If you are playing something cheerful, others will know you are happy etc.) Also, I’m not sure about this but I think in Ancient Greece they only taught Greek and music. ^^ Can anyone confirm it?

   Wroger wrote @ November 22nd, 2006 at 8:13 pm

Has anyone seen the movie Happy Feet? It is a movie about a tap-dancing penguin in a singing penguin society. I just wondered, where do people come up with these ideas? Are there people just sitting there at a table and thinking for a living?
