We are so lucky to go to such a good school. We have many teachers who we can go to when we have problems, friends we can depend on, lessons on things that will help us make educational choices etc. But in Africa most children our age are victims of child labor because their families cannot afford to pay for food, water and other groceries. I think the picture in the blog is of some farmers who are children and have to wait for the rain in order to irrigate their crops. Don’t you feel privileged to have so much that a boy/girl only dreams about in countries like Africa?

Is “Waiting for the Rain” a lot like the book we read in 7th grade called “Rice Without Rain”? One might think we are reading the sequel to “Rice Without Rain” because the tittles sound alike. Let’s read it and see.

Bhargavi– I feel lucky to go to ISB. I sometimes donate to charity so that we can at least try to give the poor people what we have.
